ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOUR COUNCIL?

In November 2022, Councillors Severina Burner (Central Ward) & Grace Bawden (North Ward) were elected as your Local Government Councillors to the City of Salisbury. However, almost immediately, Crs Burner & Bawden were made aware of suspicious & unusual items slipped within Council Agendas, which would cost ratepayers more than the initial projected budgets. This turned out to be the beginnings of a surreptitious SMART Cities roll out across City of Salisbury, to implement a full-scale surveillance state in which technologies would be used to track & monitor your every movement as part of the Internet of Things (IoT) – everyone, everywhere, all the time.

As soon as the Councillors made these concerns known publicly, City of Salisbury began a persistent & malicious campaign of bullying, intimidation & harassment to have them forced off Council. Over many months, the Councillors were subjected to vicious public ridicule, false allegations, degrading & humiliating media campaigns & trolling by Council shills across their social media pages.

These campaigns included a systematic, malicious & coordinated “mobbing” of the Councillors, including

1) Collusion by the Mayor & Councillors to create a “dirty file” on the Councillors for things they never said or posted.

2) The orchestration of voluminous vexatious complaints & investigations to deny them the right to represent their constituents, whilst punishing them for exercising their right to free speech, critical of the Council’s vigorous pursuit of the WEF/UN agendas.

3) Locking the public out of free, easy & unfettered civic participation in Council meetings.

4) Ignoring their protestations about: abuses of meeting procedures; defamation, slander & libel; breaches of the Model Behavioural Management Policy; leaking of emails for public shaming; &, making negative commentary in mainstream media, whilst gagging the Councillors from a public response.

YOU CAN HELP US BRING TRANSPARENCY & ACCOUNTABILITY INTO COUNCIL BUSINESS…

In June, the Councillors were voted out on the dishonest claim that they had missed three Council meetings, without explanation. In truth, the reasons for missed meetings were well documented & covered by medical certificates, as in any ordinary workplace. The Councillors, to date, have been denied proper legal representation, whilst Council has used legal firm Norman Waterhouse, fully funded by rate-payers, to persecute them without due process or the right to face their accusers.

Now, City of Salisbury is again set to increase Council rates by 8% (this has already passed in some other Council areas). We say that’s another rort of ratepayer funds!

Among other things, Crs Bawden & Burner are deeply alarmed by:

a) The growing number of crucial decisions directly affecting residents & ratepayers which are being hidden under CONFIDENTIAL Agenda items, without the public having the right to raise concerns or block damaging projects.

b) Council’s endless expansionism – with more jobs for mates – using your hard-earned money!

c) The growing unaffordability of living in the City of Salisbury, especially for pensioners, low-income families, elderly & disabled persons in our community.

d) The refusal to protect residents & ratepayers from the theft, sale & trade of personal, private data.

e) The dishonesty, impropriety and, we say, corruption in business matters being passed through Council.
